Why PayPal Loves Saturdays

When I worked at PayPal, I saw data from 10 million ecommerce merchants. (Specifics are confidential, but happy to share trends!) One fascinating (useful) stat: Businesses who signed up for accounts on the weekends, over the long term, ended up receiving 20% more payment volume on average. (I reasoned that they worked seven days where their competition only worked five?)

What does this mean for you?

If you have live chat on your site, make sure you have somebody responding on the weekends. Prospects who ask pricing, feature, or integration questions on the weekends are ready to buy (else, trust me, they'd have better things to do). If you don’t grab them, your competitors will!
